FAQs
WHAT IS THE BALLPARK?
We are an all American sports bar!
how do i book?
The best way to make a booking is to do it via the website. For the cages, dart boards and pool tables, it will prompt you to pay when making the booking. Alternatively, you can either give us a call or send through a booking request via our email.
Can you bring the kids and are they allowed to do the activities?
Yes! We do ask that anyone under the age of 18 is to be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times as we are a licensed venue. It is up to the discretion of the parent/guardian as to whether the kid can partake in the activities. With the batting cage, we do ask that the kid is able to stand and hold a bat on their own and that they wear a helmet during their turn.
Is it a real ball?
We do have a real ball, however the ball is soft.
do you have food?
Whilst we don’t have a kitchen onsite, we have partnered with a local business, Dumbo, that provides us with classic American themed food.
how fast does the ball go?
The speed ranges from 30mph (48km/h) - 50mph (80km/h). This can be adjusted at any point during the game.
can you adjust the angle of the ball?
Yes. For most, you wont need to adjust the angle. However our shorter and taller players there is an option to raise and lower to angle of the pitching machine.
How much does it cost and how long do i get?
The cage is $35 per person and the duration will depend on the amount of people playing. See the batting “experience” page for the duration list. Mondays - Wednesdays between 10am-5pm, we have a “daytime dingers” promotion of $20 per person. Make sure to book this on the separate “daytime dingers” page.
what does the “skill level” mean?
This changes the field size that you are playing on. “Rookie" is the smallest field size that we recommend for the younger crowd. “Legend” is the largest field, which matches the field size of a professional game. The higher the field, the harder it is to score points and home runs.
